Import from Jira
Learn how to migrate your Jira projects and issues into Superthread
Migrate your Jira projects and issues into Superthread using our Jira API integration. We’ll preserve your data structure, including issues, workflows, assignees, and more.
Prerequisites
Before starting the import process, ensure you have:
- A Jira API token with sufficient permissions
- Your Jira email address
- Your Jira cloud hostname (e.g.,
yourcompany.atlassian.net
)- This is the domain you see when logging into Jira
- Do not include
https://
or anything after.net
Getting Started
To start a Jira import:
- Go to Settings > Workspace > Importers
- Select Jira from the available import options
- Enter your Jira credentials and hostname
- Review and confirm the import options before proceeding
Data Mapping
We’ll map your Jira data to Superthread fields as follows:

After Import
- All imported cards include a link back to their original Jira location
- You can view your import history in Settings > Workspace > Importers
- Board columns may need to be reordered after import
- You can easily drag and drop columns to restore their intended order
