Superthread has a powerful, lightning fast universal Search feature that helps you find anything across your workspace—cards, boards, pages, notes, spaces, projects, and even members.

  • Click the search bar at the top of the sidebar or at the top of the app.
  • Use the keyboard shortcut:
    • MacOS: Cmd + K
    • Windows: Ctrl + K

Search UI and Filters

The search interface provides a set of filters and options to help you quickly narrow down your results:

Type Filter

Select which types of items you want to search for:

  • Cards – Tasks, issues, or tickets
  • Boards – Kanban or workflow boards
  • Pages – Documentation or notes pages
  • Notes – Transcribed meeting notes
  • Spaces – Team or topic-based spaces
  • Projects – Large initiatives or epics
  • Members – Workspace users

You can select one or multiple types to focus your search.

Status Filter

Filter cards by their workflow status. You can select one or more statuses (e.g., Backlog, Not started, In progress, Done, Cancelled) to only show cards in those states.

Space Filter

Limit your search to a specific space (e.g., Product, Design, Scratchpad) or search across all spaces. This is useful for large workspaces with many teams or topics.

Show Archived

Toggle this option to include or exclude archived items from your search results.

Using Filters

  • Click any filter (Type, Status, Space) to open a dropdown and select your criteria.
  • You can combine multiple filters for highly targeted searches (e.g., “Cards” in “In progress” status within the “Product” space).
  • The filter bar updates in real time as you make selections.

Superthread’s search includes an AI assistant that can answer questions based on your workspace content. For example, you can type natural language queries like:

  • “What is David’s role?”
  • “Show all cards assigned to me due next week”
  • “List completed projects in the Design space”

The AI will return a direct answer, along with sources from your workspace (cards, pages, notes, etc.).

Search Results

  • Results are grouped by type and relevance.
  • You can see recently viewed items at the top for quick access.
  • Each result shows its type (e.g., card, page), location (space or board), and relevant metadata (e.g., tags, status, project).
  • Click a result to open it directly.

Example Workflows

  • Find a card by title: Type part of the card’s name and use the Type filter to select “Cards”.
  • Search for a member: Use the Type filter and select “Members”.
  • Locate a project: Filter by Type > Projects and enter the project name.
  • Find notes from a meeting: Select Type > Notes and search by meeting topic or participant.
  • Filter by status: Use the Status filter to show only “In progress” or “Not started” cards.
  • Search within a space: Use the Space filter to limit results to a specific team or topic.

Tips

  • Use multiple filters together for precise results.
  • Use natural language queries to get AI-powered answers.
  • Show archived items if you need to find something completed or removed.
