How it works
Superthread is a Mac desktop (and iPhone) app that can transcribe conversations with your team and make smart suggestions about which tasks and projects are affected.
You have to manually start transcription within the Superthread app. Superthread will never auto-join or auto-record anything. When switched on, Superthread uses the microphone and system audio on your device to transcribe what's being discussed.
This means Superthread can transcribe regardless of where the conversation is happening, be it in Slack, Teams, Zoom, Meet, or even in-person. We never store audio, we just transcribe in real time.
GDPR compliant
Superthread is made by a team in Europe committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation to keep your data secure and private.
No audio recordings
Superthread does not save any audio (or video) from your meetings. We transcribe in real time and do not attempt to identify speakers—we just summarise the overall conversation. It's just like having a dedicated note-taker in the room with you, except your notes are private, unless you choose to share them with others.
No training or data sharing
Superthread uses best-in-class transcription and AI providers (Deepgram and OpenAI) and we opt-out of all training and data sharing policies with them. We do not train any of our own models on your meeting data.
Secure and private infrastructure
All notes are stored in a UK data centre, hosted in a AWS Virtual Private Cloud. All data is encrypted at rest.
You can delete individual notes or your entire account at any time.
